Job introduction

Hove Learning Federation is comprised of West Hove Infant School and Hove Junior School, serving over 1,000 children on our 3 sites – School Road, Portland Road and Holland Road.

The role is primarily based at our Portland Road/School Road sites but may require some flexibility in working at our Holland Road site.   Working days required are Monday to Thursday.

Paid weeks per year47.36 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive PA support to the Executive Headteacher, including diary management and meeting coordination.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all internal and external enquiries to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support the School Business Manager with HR recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Organise and minute meetings as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Liaise with staff, governors, parents, and all external stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Discreet, diplomatic, and trustworthy with confidential information.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Experienced in a PA or senior administrative role (experience in a school setting is desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using IT systems.
