Compliance Officer

Permanent

Ref: H0750

We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, highly organised individual to join our Safe Homes Team.

You will provide a high-quality front-line specialist service focusing on fire safety and compliance.  You will assist in maintaining and ensuring our buildings are compliant and that people living in, working in or visiting our properties are safe.

You will be required to successfully work with contractors to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard.  You will work with colleagues across the Housing Service to ensure our communal areas remain safe by enforcing our zero tolerance clear landings approach.  Within the role, you will be provided with a stocked Council van and expected to undertake small maintenance tasks.

The demanding role will require the successful candidate to adjust to changing demands at short notice whilst passionately delivering a compliant service for our residents.  The ability to remain calm and methodical when dealing with challenging situations is crucial, as is the ability to give accurate technical and practical advice to customers and colleagues.

The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and various contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and analytical skills.  You should be competent, confident and committed to delivering excellent customer service.  You will need to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently whilst also working effectively as part of a team.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are adaptable and open to embracing changes that aim to enhance our service delivery.  If you're ready to make a difference and thrive in a role where your actions contribute directly to the safety and well-being of our communities and customers, we would love to hear from you.

An Basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.

The deadline for applications will be midnight on the closing date shown in the advert details.
